U certificate for Vettai

Madhavan-Arya starrer 'Vettai', which is getting ready to hit the screens on Pongal day, has been cleared by the Censor Board officials with a U certificate.

"The authorities enjoyed the film a lot," says the spokesperson of 'Vettai'.

In a statement to the media, he says, "Vettai censored with U. Few corrections suggested which we agreed. Overall the members (of the Censor Board) enjoyed the film and said it is a gripping movie which is entertaining and filled with fun. They all liked the comedy, action and other scenes."

Produced and directed by Lingusamy in association with UTV Motion Pictures, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul are the heroines of 'Vettai'. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja and songs composed by him were already declared hits.

Says Lingusamy, "'Vettai' is different from my earlier films. I wanted to feature Madhavan in it, had I not got his call sheet I would have dropped the project. I feel 'Vettai' will bring Arya the popularity Madhavan got through 'Run'. The film has a class look, but it is a mass entertainer."

 New Delhi: If media reports are to be believed then the discharge date of Shankar's 'Nanban' is pre-poned to January twelve, 2012. Earlier, the film was scheduled to be released on the eve of Pongal.

Directed by Shankar, 'Nanban' is that the Tamil remake of '3 Idiots'. the first film had Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and R Madhavan within the lead roles whereas Omi Vaidya had played the famous role of Chatur Ramalingam.

The Tamil version can feature Vijay, Srikanth and Jiiva within the central roles whereas Sathyan are going to be seen within the role portrayed by Omi Vaidya within the original.
